What happens now?
- Travel Documentation: We will forward a confirmation invoice within three working days of receiving your booking. Your full travel documentation, which includes villa information, car hire/transfer vouchers and key retrieval will be accessible in the 'My Booking' area 21 days prior to your arrival - providing you have submitted all of your API (Advanced Passenger Information) and flight details.
- Paying your balance: Visit the My Booking area to pay via debit/credit card or call us on 0044 1283 372820 if you wish to make a bank transfer (AMEX payments must be made over the phone)
- API: You must provide your Advanced Passenger Information in order to access your travel documents. This includes all passenger names, dates of birth, passport details and your flight details, which is required by local authorities.
On Arrival & Departure
- Check-in is 16.00 - this is to allow the preparation and cleaning of the property ready for your arrival. Early check-ins are currently not possible.
- Luggage storage facilities may be available in resort for a small charge - please contact us for more details.
- Keys are usually stored in a secure lock box next to the front door and the access code is provided in your travel documentation.
- We recommend that you carry a small torch with you, in the event that you arrive at your villa after dark.
- A visit from our in-resort Villa Manager (where available) can be arranged to provide local tips and advice.
- You must vacate the property by 10.00 on your day of departure to allow the villa to be thoroughly cleaned and prepared for the next guests - specific products are used in line with local protocols which involves spraying, leaving and then airing which of course take time, as such a late check-out is not possible.
Transport & Extras
Car Hire
For your convenience, all our car hire options are airport pick-up/drop-off. Please check carefully that your rental period coincides with your requirements and your flight times - an extra charge will be incurred for late return or for collections made outside the car hire company's office hours.
Please also ensure that all guests intending to drive take a valid driving licence which will need to be presented upon collection. Some car hire companies impose a charge locally for any additional drivers.
The majority of car hire companies provide you with a full tank of fuel and ask you to bring it back empty, payable on arrival.
A major credit card will be required when collecting the vehicle - debit cards are not normally accepted.
Baby seats can be supplied to fit the majority of hire cars - these must be requested at the time of booking and are payable locally. You must fit the car seat yourself, the car hire company will not do this for safety reasons.
Vehicles are supplied by 'Group' and not by specific make or model. If a specific vehicle type is not available, an alternative vehicle of the same group or higher will be provided.
Transfers
We can provide private transfers directly to the villa upon your arrival and back to the airport for your departure. In all cases, an appropriate size vehicle will be ordered, however where this is not available a larger vehicle may be used.
If you need to collect your villa keys en-route from a local office, please let your driver know.
Most of our transfer companies will provide child seats free of charge or for a small fee - these must be requested in advance. Some destination transfers will not supply child seats - please contact us for confirmation.
Please remember that check-out is at 10am, therefore if your departure transfer time is later than 10am you can arrange an alternative pick-up point with your driver.
Holiday Extras
Most of our resorts offer the opportunity to hire a range of products such as portable air conditioning units, baby equipment and wheelchairs.
Please note that any compensation in relation to the hire of these items is limited to the hire cost itself. Costs included delivery to the villa and collection, as well as maintenance and running costs (where applicable). No refund will be available for items that are not used.
If, on arrival, you have hired duplicate equipment and are happy with the quality of the items already in the property, please contact your Villa Manager who may be able to arrange collection for the hired goods and reimbursement where possible.
Useful Information
- Security Deposits: Some accommodation will require a refundable security deposit. Where applicable, this will be made clear on the villa description page and will be payable and refunded locally by the house manager once the property has been inspected. The deposit amount varies depending on the villa.
- Need to cancel or amend your booking?: Cancellation charges and administration charges may apply - please refer to sections 7,8 and 9 of the Booking Terms and Conditions and contact us if you wish to cancel or make changes.
- Insurance: It is a requirement of booking with Solmar Villas that you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy as soon as your booking is confirmed. This insurance should, as a minimum, protect you against cancellation, curtailment, medical expense, loss/theft of possessions and documents, personal liability and airline failure.
