At the very southernmost tip of Kefalonia island a popular beach resort has grown up around the charming village of Skala.

The main attraction of this area was the endless expanse of stunning sand beach, but the village centre – now offering a varied choice of tavernas, mini markets, shops and cafe’s has grown with the addition of some rather chic restaurants and bars along the beach front and several “boutique” hotels.

A walk up into the hills behind Skala brings you back to another era as you explore the ruins of the old village destroyed in the earthquake in the last century. Skala has become probably the most “sought after” holiday resort on Kefalonia in recent years – and it’s easy to see why.

This is a lovely villa. The rooms are well sized. There is a great pool. Fantastic views of the sea from the terrace and balconies. Would highly recommend!!

Back for a second time. Peaceful location. Has everything you need in the villa. A few restaurants a short walk away. village about 30 minute walk - good to walk off dinner!

A lovely villa on the outskirts of Skala. A bit of a trek to the nearest .. very tourist expensive supermarket the first day. Down a hill so be prepared to hike back up! A couple of lovely restaurants nearby within 5 mins. Beautiful views of the sea. Highly recommend car as town is a very hot 30 mins walk and coming back up a hill. Small coved pebble beach just across the road, ideal for snorkling. The pool was immaculate and well tended to and the gardens lovely. Villa was cleaned to a high standard and lots of storage space. Air con worked a treat as we had 35 degree temperatures. There are about 3 cats that live on the property & goats on the surrounding hill. I didn’t mind but my friend is allergic to cats so was very wary. They kept to themselves, but there was a smell of cats around the pool area which was a bit unpleasant. The villa provides nothing in the way of cleaning products so you have to buy some if there for two weeks. Only 1 towel each for pool and bathroom. The bathroom towels and bed linen changed mid week but not the pool towels so we had to wash them ourselves. Kitchen had basic appliances. I really loved this villa but it would have been so much better and would have helped to have a few little basic things such as extra pool towel, basics in the kitchen (salt, pepper etc) as there is literally nothing. Provided only 2 dishwasher tablets for week and washing up liquid, small sponge and two tea towels. If arriving late like take some water and a few basic things with you. All in all a fab week, we loved the island

To access the villa there is a path which is 120cm wide alongside 6 steps. Each step is 19cm high. The front door has a width of 87cm, whilst the door to the terrace is 135cm wide. The path to the poolside is 120cm wide, where the tiles are flat and non-slip. The pool itself has step access. Inside, the bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor have a door width of 70cm. This is the same as the doors into the lounge/kitchen. There are 17 steps to the first floor, where the bedroom and bathroom doors are again, 70cm wide. *Please note that although every effort has been made to ensure the information provided is accurate, errors can occur and if you need to find out more specific information about the villa, please do not hesitate to contact us.
