You will be able to request a full refund of the price paid for your villa booking, if on your date of travel, the following conditions are met:
- Your villa booking was made on or after 07/10/2021.
- Your booking was made for a villa to which the offer applies, which will show if available for your chosen dates during your booking journey.
- The UK FCDO or Government in your country of residence advises against travel to your destination due to COVID-19 on your travel date.
- There are COVID-19 restrictions in your destination country preventing you from being able to travel to that destination.
- You are required, due to COVID-19, to quarantine in a hotel on arrival in your destination country.
- You are required, due to COVID-19, to quarantine in a hotel on return to the UK.

Resort Description
Located next to Ponta do Sol, the small sea village of Madalena do Mar on the southwest coast of Madeira is a spectacle of lush vegetation, soaring emerald cliffs and breathtaking ocean. Its fertile location and favourable climate have helped it to establish one of the largest banana plantations on the island and much of the land along the cliffs is occupied by terraced banana fields. If you’re visiting in July, Madalena do Mar hosts the annual banana exhibit displaying traditional farming methods, a very important cultural event for the town.
A beautiful promenade runs parallel to the pebble beach, with several restaurants and bars specialising in fish and other local delicacies to sample. The parish is also known for its Moledos site, a conservation area with endemic flora and many species of birds. From this beautiful viewpoint you can admire the panoramic landscape of Madalena do Mar, Santa Madalena church and the traditional houses with their striking terracotta roofs.
