Great location close to beach and prom. Matagorda is very touristy with lots of Irish bars and full English breakfasts on offer and wouldn’t be our usual choice. However, we wanted a reasonably priced autumn break and were holidaying with all of our adult children and young grandson in tow so good to have everything close by and near to airport. The local beach is lovely, very quiet and we found an excellent tapas place in Matagorda -Carmencita Del Puerto. We hired a car so could see more of the spectacular scenery and find some more off the beaten track places. Anywhere around El Golfo is worth a visit for good food and lots of fantastic view points close by. Definitely drive up through the national park- volcanoes are stunning. Villa itself is well equipped, comfy beds, decor is tired and needs an update but it is very clean. We had a lovely time and October weather was perfect.

To access the villa there is a path which is 97cm wide and 1 step to the front door which is 86cm wide. The lounge door is 106cm wide and the kitchen/dining room door is also 106cm wide. To access the pool/terrace area there is a door which is 130cm wide, the path to the pool is 210cm wide. There is one step down from the patio area to the poolside. The rest of the terrace is tiled and flat. The pool has step access. This is a ground-floor property.
